The Blue Flame
Project type
Outdoor Sculpture
The Blue Flame is a study in upward movement and quiet energy. A single, flowing line rises from the ground, twisting gently as it climbs, like a flame caught mid-dance. The form feels light and continuous, as if drawn in the air rather than built from metal.
The sculpture’s curve creates a sense of motion without urgency. It does not rush upward, it unfolds. The soft blue patina reinforces this feeling, evoking heat, water, and sky at once. The flame suggested here is not destructive or wild, but calm, controlled, and enduring.
Set outdoors, the work responds naturally to its environment. Light, shadow, and surrounding greenery shift the sculpture’s presence throughout the day. From different angles, the form alternates between delicate and assertive, always maintaining balance.
The Blue Flame reflects transformation and persistence. It speaks to inner energy rather than spectacle, and to movement that comes from within rather than force. The sculpture invites a slow viewing, encouraging the eye to follow its line upward and pause within its rhythm.
