Passion
Project type
Stone & Bronze Sculpture
Passion explores the tension between closeness and distance. Two bronze figures lean toward one another, arms extended, suspended in a moment that feels both intimate and uncertain. Between them, a single red stone hovers, acting as both connection and barrier.
The figures stand on separate stacks of carefully balanced stones. Each structure is stable yet visibly delicate, suggesting that intimacy, like balance, requires trust and constant adjustment. The figures do not touch, but their gestures imply movement toward union, a reaching that carries vulnerability.
The suspended stone introduces weight and gravity into the space between the figures. It becomes a symbol of emotion, desire, or longing, something shared yet not fully possessed. Passion here is not explosive or dramatic, but restrained, held in tension.
This work reflects on emotional connection, the risk of reaching toward another, and the fragile equilibrium that exists where desire and distance meet.
